Noor Dasmesh Singh is the Founder Principal of NOOR Architects Consultants, an internationally recognised cross-disciplinary practice based in Chandigarh, working across architecture, urbanism, interior design and strategic design.

Having begun his career at the Industrial Design Studio at IIT Delhi, Noor went on to work with the international design consultancy DEGW in London, contributing to projects including the British Museum Masterplan and workplaces for Google, before returning to India in 2009 to establish his practice in Chandigarh.

Today, his work spans master planning, public projects for the government, award-winning workplaces and industrial facilities, museums including the Museum of Anatomy for PGI Chandigarh, and hospitality projects for leading international hotel brands. The practice is also home to India’s first architecture studio in the metaverse, reflecting a continued interest in emerging technologies and new ways of designing.

Beyond practice, Noor writes extensively on architecture and urbanism, teaches as a Visiting Faculty at the Chandigarh College of Architecture, and is deeply engaged with questions of heritage, contemporary urbanism, and the evolving identity of the city. Through his work, he seeks to reinterpret Chandigarh’s modernist legacy for the twenty-first century—creating a new architectural sensibility that is rooted in its ideals while responding to the aspirations of contemporary India.

Noor studied Architecture in India and later attended executive courses at the Harvard University in Boston and the Architectural Association in London.
