Harsharan Kaur was raised in Chandigarh and is an alumni of Vivek High School. She studied international relations with a concentration on developing countries at the University of South Carolina. She further got a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Edinburgh. She has over 15 years of experience in the development sector and is a dedicated professional in the area of health and education.
Her expertise in public policy and development work is helping her to make a meaningful impact in the lives of unorganised sector women workers in Punjab.
She was part of the founding team that helped start the Self Employed Women’s Association chapter in Punjab in 2016. Since then she has been instrumental in organising and empowering the marginalized women in the districts where SEWA Punjab works.
She is committed to leveraging her skills and experience to create lasting change in the communities of Punjab.
