Organised by: Focus Group on Urban Planning & Design, Chandigarh Citizens Foundation
This Children’s Day, the Focus Group on Urban Planning & Design of the Chandigarh Citizens Foundation invites students to a special guided walk through the Capitol Complex, Chandigarh’s iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Through engaging storytelling, fun facts, and interactive learning, students will explore how the principles of democracy are reflected in architecture and design. The walk will take them across the Plaza, introducing them to the monumental creations that define the city’s civic identity , all in a way that’s lively, relatable, and fun.
The walk will conclude at the Tower of Shadows, where participants will enjoy light refreshments and take part in a quiz based on their experience. Exciting prizes await the winners!
Objective: To build awareness and appreciation of Chandigarh’s architectural and cultural heritage among students.
Target Audience: Students (Limited to 80–100 participants)
