Based in Lusaka, was concurrently accredited to Malawi as High Commissioner and as India’s Representative to the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) – a trade grouping of nineteen African countries, with Secretariat in Lusaka, Zambia
- Consul General of India in Vancouver, Canada, 2005–2008
- Ambassador to the Sudan, 2002–2005
- Also served in different capacities in Indian Missions in Syria, Bahrain, Singapore, Afghanistan, Australia, Egypt
- Served at the Headquarters – Ministry of External Affairs, as Deputy Secretary, Director, and Joint Secretary
