Manu Kapila is a Executive Vice President heading Corporate Affairs, CSR, Projects, and Asset Protection at Fortis Healthcare Limited one of India’s leading healthcare organisations, with over 25 years in the institution. His remit spans four interconnected functions — each operating at the interface of institutional leadership, government engagement, and organisational reputation.

His most sustained contribution has been in government and regulatory affairs. Over two decades, he has built and maintained relationships across local, state, and central government levels — engaging directly with ministers, bureaucrats, and regulatory bodies as the organisation’s principal interface on matters of policy, licensing, approvals, and statutory compliance that a multi-facility healthcare network demands. He has steered the organisation through several high-stakes crisis situations, working across institutional, regulatory, and reputational dimensions. He represents the organisation on the Governing Council of NATHEALTH, the Healthcare Federation of India.

On the projects side, he has led the expansion and development of existing facilities, managing these from conception through delivery across construction, budgetary, and regulatory parameters. He is also a key member of the team responsible for identifying and evaluating new hospital acquisitions, contributing to the organisation’s growth strategy from the ground up.

As head of Corporate Social Responsibility, he oversees programmes spanning healthcare access, community welfare, and environmental responsibility — structured to deliver measurable social impact in alignment with the organisation’s values and public obligations.

Prior to joining the organisation, he served with the Umeed-Khanna Foundation in Punjab, managing HR, PR, and operations for an NGO delivering free healthcare and education to rural communities. He holds an MBA in Human Resources Management from Panjab University and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College.
