Dr. (Maj Gen) Mukti Sharma was commissioned as an alumnus of Armed Forces Medical College, Pune on 3rd Mar 1980 in the Army Medical Corps and did her MD from Poona University and DNB in Paediatrics from National Board of Examinations, a 2-year Post Doctoral Fellowship in Paediatric Cardiology from the AIIMS, New Delhi and was a Visiting Scholar in the Division of Paediatric Cardiology, UCLA School of Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles, USA.

She has 55 publications in National and International Journals Chapters in Books and Edited a manual on the Acutely Ill Child.

Awarded Fellow of Cardiological Society of India in 2010 and Fellow of Indian Academy of Paediatrics in 2012.

• Prof & HOD Pediatrics & Pediatric Cardiology, Army Hospital (R&R), New Delhi.
• Prof & Head, Dept of Pediatrics, AFMC, Pune.
• First lady to Command the Command Hospital. Western Command. Chandimandir.
• Post retirement she worked as Prof Pediatrics at MMIMSR; a medical College of repute and is now working at Fortis Medical Centre Sec 11 Chandigarh, as an empanelled Consultant.
• During route preventive health check ups she realized the importance of spreading the concept of ‘Wellness’..and is keenly working on it, which includes Stress Management and Hollistic Medicine.
