Unlocking Teaching Through Film Screenings
In a thought provoking effort to merge creativity into pedagogy, Chandigarh Citizens Foundation (CCF), in collaboration with Delhi Public School, Sector 40, Chandigarh hosted Teachers’ Training Workshop titled “Reel Philosophy: Unlocking Teaching Through Film Screening.” The workshop was led by Dr. Ambuj Sharma (Assistant Professor and HOD, Department of Philosophy, PGGCG, Sector 11, Chandigarh). The workshop offered an intellectually enriching platform for educators to explore the pedagogical potential of Cinema. It highlighted how films can spark curiosity, compassion, critical thinking, and classroom dialogue.
The session was graced by Ms. Reema Dewan, (Director, DPS, Chandigarh, and Member of Focus Group on Education, CCF), Ms. Kavita Chatterjee Das, (Convenor, Focus Group on Education, CCF), Prof. Anil Monga (Panjab University) and Prof. Nandita Singh (Department of Education, Panjab University).
