The overarching aims of the Chandigarh Citizens Foundation are:<\/p>\n

  • To serve as a collaborative platform for exchange of ideas and experiences<\/strong> that foster universal values of inclusiveness, peace, harmony, love, brotherhood through art & culture, literature, creativity, legacy, technology and sustainable living. To serve as a vibrant platform that brings all interested people together for the exchange of ideas and experiences in advancing this motto.<\/li>\n
  • To promote the core civilizational and cultural ethos of India, <\/strong>which remains of universal relevance for the world, as a guiding light and as useful, empowering tools for human wellbeing, in an inclusive, harmonious and sustainable way, and to organize events and programs that advance this cause.<\/li>\n
  • To advocate for and ensure sustainable development approach and practices across all sectors in Chandigarh region:<\/strong> This involves addressing current and future needs related to safety and security, health and well-being, amenities, public spaces, public infrastructures, environment, social and sustainable economic development, ensuring that current and future development approach and practices do not compromise the well-being of coming generations.<\/li>\n
  • To promote Chandigarh as a global city and its architectural, urban, and cultural legacy, and to foster participatory, collaborative efforts in urban planning and development.<\/strong> To ensure that the voices of all citizens and experts are heard and integrated into the city\u2019s growth narrative. This includes the adaptive promotion of its valuable urban planning and design principles, iconic buildings, green spaces, and the unique socio-cultural fabric that defines the Chandigarh city and region, and to promote both in India and abroad, Chandigarh\u2019s status as a global city.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
